When this local business stopped by a food bank in November to donate 78 turkeys, 78 hams, 18 whole chickens, and other holiday supplies, they helped meet the needs in our community. We heard about the increase and took action Also in December. This time, they were backed by partners Fidelity First Financial and his CFG Bank, and he donated $12,050 to buy turkeys for families in the community.
With their generous support, AACFB was able to purchase 648 turkeys.

Sean Shannon, president of Chesapeake Materials, said: “We believe that when you can help, you should.”
Without contributions like Chesapeake Materials and its partners, it will be very difficult for AACFB to meet the increased food demand during the winter months. During the December holidays alone, more than 6,000 households requested food baskets from member institutions. Each of these 648 turkeys was distributed to homes in Anne Arundel County in need this holiday season through his AACFB network of more than 70 member agency food pantries.
AACFB CEO Leah Paley said: βTo make sure everyone in Anne Arundel County has access to nutritious food that will keep them healthy this holiday season and beyond, we need to work together.β
