During the first decade of her career, she helped manage social media and office operations at Confluence Brewing Co. in Des Moines, helping sell locally made craft drinks.
On October 27, she started her new role at Iowa State University’s Extension and Outreach as a business administrator for the Farms, Food, and Corporate Development team.
In this role, she assisted with budgeting and cost accounting allocations for the farms, food and corporate development departments and the Agricultural Marketing Resource Center website, a resource hub for producers and processors involved in value-added companies. is managed.

Bowen Sawyer said he is excited to be returning to his alma mater and looks forward to the opportunity to serve all Iowans.

Bowen Sawyer also has a part-time job at the Des Moines Public Library. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and camping and hiking trips with her husband Jacob Sawyer and her family. Sawyers also enjoys gardening and growing wildflowers.
