2023 will kick off with a number of food and drink events in New Jersey.
Noon January 1
Debut in 2023 and enjoy panoramic views of the Delaware Bay. His one of the best restaurant views on the Jersey Shore. The Lookout’s Hair of the Dog branch serves stuffed French toast, shrimp and grits, salmon hash, and more. Drinks include tea and toast (a martini with orange gin), a peach and basil bellini, and a Bloody Mary platter.

All guests are welcomed at Seaview for a special New Year’s Brunch. The focus of the day is the Bloody Mary, and guests can customize their drink with a variety of garnishes, including bacon, celery, and pickled vegetables. For brunch, you can enjoy omelets, prime rib, dessert towers, and more.

Get your feet wet at this unique wine event. Start with a wine tasting and chicken parmesan dinner, served with roasted vegetables, salad, and dessert. After dinner, spend a wonderful time stomping grapes at the winery. Tickets are $47.50 per person and can be purchased over the winery’s phone.

Ilene Moreno of Colorful Dinner Delivery, a fresh meal delivery service with new menus every week in Maplewood and surrounding areas, is stopping by the kitchen table for a special dinner. Moreno is preparing a four-course vegan dinner that includes French onion soup with grilled cheese croutons, maple mustard kale and pumpkin salad, sweet potato gnocchi, and a surprise dessert, and the event is her BYO. Tickets are $100 per person.

January 28, 5:00pm – 11:00pm
The 17th Annual Burns Banquet honors 19th-century Scottish poet Robert Burns (born 25 January). Dinner includes a Scottish menu, Celtic music from his band, and poetry readings. Guests can dine at The Lookout, at the Ferry Station, or at the atrium of the newly renovated Cape May he Ferry Terminal. Tickets range from $20 to $85, depending on location.
