Brazos Valley Food Bank looking for continued support in 2023

Bryan, Texas (KBTX) – The Brazos Valley Food Bank has worked hard to feed our communities throughout 2022, but the work doesn’t end with the holidays.

The Brazos Valley Food Bank helps provide food for six counties in the Brazos Valley.

“We’ve been talking about this for months,” said Amanda Stark, director of communications and development. “Inflation all over the country. I’m seeing you trying to get the same supplies on our side that you see in the grocery store. Our six counties and For our 36 partner institutions, the need is endless.”

She says 2022 has seen a lot of generosity, but the need doesn’t stop there.

“We’ve seen tremendous numbers in both food and monetary donations from the community,” Stark said. “KBTX Food For Families food drives were a big part of that.” So we must thank our community for everything they have provided so far, and it is also important to remember that hunger has no holidays and hunger does not last this calendar year. The need is always there.”

Food banks and partners work year-round to provide for neighbors in need.

Donations may be made online at bvfb.org, mailed to PO Box 74 Bryan TX 77806 or 1501 Independence Dr.
